NOT ALL BRIDGES, TECHNIQUES AND COMPANIES WILL GIVE YOU THE SAME EXPERIENCE.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO BEAR IN MIND WHEN CHOOSING YOUR JUMP:
* THE BRIDGE: Not all bridges are the same, nor the technique used. In Spain the type of jump that is usually offered is different to what is done abroad, and is known as Bungee jumping (in which you jump in a dive anchored with a rubber band around your ankles). Bungee jumping in Spain consists of jumping in a large pendulum instead of falling flat.
The metres of drop does not depend on the height of the bridge, but on its width.
When you jump, in our case, you are anchored with an integral harness (it wraps around your whole body, to prevent it from coming out at the top or bottom). What you do is a mega pendulum that makes your jump incredibly safe, and smooth experience (we use a special technique to make it feel like your rope is elastic, so you won’t feel any tugging that can annoy you or aggravate neck or back injuries). Of the two locations we offer being the bridge in Albentosa (Teruel) higher, about 55 mts, you have less meters of falling than the one we perform in Calles (Valencia). This last one is a double bridge and takes advantage of the width of both arches to lengthen the ropes distance, so you have more falling meters thanks to this.
* LOCATION:
You’ll find that it’s hard to find a place to go bungee jumping close to home. This is because there are fewer and fewer bridges where this activity is allowed. It is important to fulfil a series of requirements and permits to be able to jump from them.
* TECHNIC:
Bungee jumping, like paella, can be done in many different ways and with very different results. Depending on the company you do it with, you will have one paella or a mixing vomit.
Many safety measures must be complied with (approved ropes, correct storage of all the jump material, checking the ropes’ soul millimetre by millimetre, counting the number of total jumps use, in order not exceeding the recommended limit, take care of the kind of anchors, qualified guides, safety protocols, that are strictly complied with, number of guides…). Fulfill with all this or not, can mean that a company can offer the same activity at one price or another. Bear in mind that if it is done well, it is a super safe activity, but if not… it is your life you are risking.
* VIDEOS:
We know that the first thing to look at is the price. If you have read up to this point, you will be able to compare between the different companies that carry out the activities, what other souvenirs, apart from the jump, you will take home with you. And again, there are many differences. From Go-Pro helmet videos that focus on your face and show only your nose and face distorted (instead of perceiving and reflecting the height you just jumped from or the beauty of the environment you see during your flight), to videos of poor quality or that show only a limited view of this incredible experience. We know how important it is to be able to ‘show off’ the experience to your colleagues afterwards. That’s why we make a full HD recording with images during the flight, as well as a later edition with music from the day’s skydiving group. You can see the material that our ‘brave ones’ receive here PICTURES AND ADVENTURE VIDEOS.
